Retreat Spiritually…Journey… and prepare your hearts for the Joy of the Birth of Christ
Over each of our four evenings in December, we will welcome hundreds to “retreat” on pilgrimage in the Texas Hill Country; to prepare our hearts and minds in anticipation of the arrival of our Savior. On this night, the Gospel of Luke, Chapter 1:26 – Chapter 2:20 is the foundation for your retreat experience.
In your group (20 - 25 people), a Jewish villager will guide you along the path, explaining why “all” have been called to be “enrolled”. Along your journey, you will witness the Roman soldiers occupying this land. You will also meet up close the townspeople, merchants, and inn keepers of this country village. Listen as the Shepherds, Three Wise Men, and Simeon share their stories of anticipation for meeting the Messiah. Hear Mary and Joseph tell what the angel of the Lord commanded of them.
Following your journey, your next stop will be in Magna Hall. There, you will see an 8 minute presentation on the Holy Land where Jesus was born. At our large Advent Wreath, representing our hope and preparation for the birth of our Savior, each of your family members will add their personal candle to light the night.
This blessed “retreat” experience will conclude with fellowship in our courtyard where all who journeyed can enjoy hot cocoa, coffee, kettle corn, sausage, cookies and more. Your ticket includes: The walk, show, refreshments and snacks.
The Retreat To Bethlehem experience will take approximately 45 to 90 minutes. We encourage you to NOT rush though this journey, but to enjoy taking your time to truly open your hearts and listen to the Lord.
We hope and look forward to seeing y’all at Sanctus Ranch for this incredible journey of the heart.
